Sasha dedicated many years to studying the art of human form, hundreds of figure drawing sessions, and countless life drawings. This journey is what allowed him to develop an advanced level of mastery and a keen ability to depict not merely someone's likeness well, but to capture the essence of the moment in time as a Live Wedding Artist. 

Over the last half a decade, he served as Adjunct and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, teaching Drawing and Design Fundamentals, Figure Drawing, as well as Illustration classes.

Sasha's early life had roots in his 3rd culture upbringing in the Armenian-Russian family. He was born in Azerbaijan at the end of the Soviet Union and grew up in Khabarovsk, on the Chinese border of the Russian Far East.

His journey abroad began at 17, attending Pearson College, one of the United World Colleges, in British Columbia, Canada, which led him to pursue his bachelors in the United States. 
 
He holds his Bachelors in International Business, and Marketing with Visual Arts Emphasis from Westminster College (Fulton, Missouri, 2010), including studying abroad in Florence, Italy. He received his Masters of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (Savannah, GA, 2017). 
 
With an extensive artistic background, he spent the last 25 years expanding his traditional skills into illustration, graphic design, marketing, business, teaching, and live art. His creative passions lie in portraiture, figure drawing, sculpture, and live painting, capturing all kinds of wonderful humans from around the world through Live Wedding Painting. 

Sasha’s life philosophy is staying curious while continuously learning new things. He believes that human beings live more fulfilling and joyous lives when they are exposed to great art and consistently engaged in a creative process. He believes that art helps us overcome our differences and connect through our humanity shared by all people from all walks of life and from all corners of the Earth.
